Causes of Low Testosterone

Understanding the causes is half the battle.

Testosterone is the principal male sex hormone and is largely responsible for male growth and development. It has many functions within the human body and should not be taken for granted. When dealing with low testosterone (check for signs) you must get to the root of the cause. So although testosterone levels slowly decline with age, there are many other things that can cause a lowering of this vital hormone. Here are some examples:

    • Lack of exercise
    • High body-fat percentages
    • Reliance on unhealthy foods
    • Poor supplementation strategy
    • Depression
    • Lack of sexual stimulation
    • Overtraining / Over-exercising
    • Excessive alcohol
    • Poor sleeping habits

All these variables have proven to lower testosterone levels significantly in men. Some men opt for Hormone Replacement Therapy, where you simply get regular hormone injections from a doctor, but that causes you to become reliant on the injections. Why choose something like that when it can be fixed with natural methods? Wouldn’t it make sense to try to elevate declining levels using natural methods before opting for Testosterone Replacement Therapy and becoming chemically dependent for the rest of your life ?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRP) should be considered an option only if all other methods have failed or to cure extreme cases and/or ailments. Men should wisely approach Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRP).

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRP) or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) will either further lower or completely shut down your natural production of testosterone. If you ever decide to come off of the therapy you are likely to be in a worse situation than when you first started. Chemical dependence is not a wise or prudent first option.

You can raise your own testosterone production by lots of methods. For instance exercise more, eat better foods, chose the right supplements and you will be off much better already.
